Bus was punctual leaving from Pudu Raya bus Station at 12am.
Ha! Early morning of the Saturday had to start my journey to Singapore by this bus company, Transnational. I am not the easy - sleeping person, therefore, suffer whole night at the bus, because I couldn’t sleep well. At around 2.37am, bus stopped at a food court for a rest or supper. (Amazingly, only took 2hours 37 minutes to reach food court, which is located at Johor, I think the driver drive damn so fast!)
At 3am, bus engine started again and continue the journey. The bus took two more hours to reach to the Johor Bahru Immigration Officer to update the Passport Information. After 15 minutes, the bus is heading to Singapore. Around 5am, I queue up at the Singapore Immigration Officer to ‘Check In’ and luggage checking. Singapore, the first foreign country stamp at my new passport!
At 5.30am, bus stopped at Lavender Street Terminal Bus. Of course, this bus terminal located at the lavender Street. The street is very quiet, no one walking along the street except the passengers from the bus. KS and I started walking around in this city at this early cloudy morning.
First thing, look for a coffee shop, or food court to have breakfast. It is very hard to find a food court or coffee shop in this early morning. Their not yet start the business! Unless you are looking for the 7-11 or Cheers, these kind of 24 hours retail shop. Finally after a long walk (more than half and hours!), we manage to have our breakfast at a food court.
I had economic noodles plus a slice of ‘can meat’, it cost me one Singapore dollar S$1. It is very cheap if the S$ is RM, Malaysia dollar, but the fact is: it cost me RM2.25 when convert to RM. And my friend KS ate Nasi Lemak (Coconut flavoured rice dish) plus a small fish, cost S$1.70.
So finished our breakfast, we started to discuss which place to go! We asked the food stall’s boss about the direction of the nearest MRT. So, walking again to find the MRT, around 15 minutes later, we reached a MRT Station called Bugis MRT Station. Here we are, start the MRT travel in this two days at Singapore.
These are our journey route map by using the MRT.
Bugis – Orchard: window shopping along the Orchard Road.
Orchard – Little India: Little India is the focal point of Singapore's Indian community.
Little India – Clarke Quay: Clarke Quay is a place where you can Shop, eat and be entertained by the riverside.
Clarke Quay – Chinatown: Chinatown, no need to say much, as the name already shown the meaning!
Chinatown – RafflesPlace: I went to look for the NTUC building. Hehe, is the Concert venue.
Raffles Place – Bugis: I went back there and look for a shop name Muji and help Eugene to buy a note book from this shop!
Bugis – Aljunied: I felt very tired when I at this station, some more need to look for the hotel. We made an early reservation at FRAGRANCE - CRYSTAL at Lorong 18 Geylang.
Aljunied - Raffles Place: went for concert!
Raffles Place – Aljunied: coming to Hotel and rest. Finished first day trip at Sinapore!
Aljunied – Bugis: after check out from the hotel, still got time to have walk at Bugis
Till here no more MRT, but walk to lavender street Terminal bus to go back to Malaysia.
I guess, you will ask, did you have fun there?
Erm... … not really. I felt like in KL, cause the buildings, races of the people, language speaking, etc more or less same like KL. the big different were the Systematic of the public transport are very systematic and the cleanliness.
One of the most interesting was something about my surrounding of the hotel. After KS and I check in to the hotel, later YC and MY came to meet us. YC said, this lorong 18 is one of the HOTTEST place in the night! Yes, I experienced that when we walked back to the hotel after concert. You can see a lot girls started to promo their ‘business’ and a lot of foreign people were asking the ‘quotation’!
Haha!
